About Us

A symphonic metal band that takes you on a lyrical journey. Hope Beyond Suffering began from the ashes of Drew's former project Behold the Dawn, and soon developed into something far greater.

Inspired by other symphonic metal bands such as Nightwish, Within Temptation and Amaranthe, as well as other musical inspirations like Adele, Billie Eilish, and Coldplay; Drew and Vannah created Hope Beyond Suffering and released their first song "The Dawn Escapes" in October 2019. 

​Since then they have released two full-length albums, an EP, and several singles. Their greatest accomplishment by far has been the angel/demon rock opera concept album Hope Against Suffering. Now having over a couple thousand streams on music streaming services such as Spotify and Apple Music, as well as being featured on JesusFreakHideout.com Independent Artist review, I'm Clifford Today's Spotlight Video, and On the Air Tonight's evening radio show; Hope Beyond Suffering has found an audience.

​In 2026 Hope Beyond Suffering brought in Michael Feltner and Ethan Howard to play bass and drums, respectively. The band now plays gigs around Lexington and Georgetown. They are also preparing to release new music in the coming months.
